Our main alumni event is the biennial Alumni Dinner, which is open to all alumni and their partners. This is a great opportunity to return to college, relive your Boat Club memories and meet up with alumni from across the years. There will also be an outing for any alumni interested in the afternoon before the dinner.
Another exciting alumni initiative is the formation of the Lord Protector Boat Club (LPBC), the brainchild of some recent graduates. The aim is to get alumni together for races in Cambridge and further afield Ė for more information see the LPBC section on this website.
SSBC are really keen to for all alumni to stay involved with the boat club on all levels. If youíre in Cambridge and are interested in coaching, bank partying or supporting, please get in touch with our Captain Lois Overvoorde at firstname.lastname@example.org. If youíre from further afield, but are still interested in supporting the club, remember that alumni are particularly welcome to Lent and May Bumps (and the May Bumps brunch in college on the final Saturday). Dates for bumps can be found at http://www.cucbc.org/bumps.
We are also hugely indebted to the financial support provided by the alumni community over the years, and hope that those able to donate will do so in order to carry the Boat Club through these times of funding cuts and economic woes. All amounts, however small, are extremely welcome Ė especially given that the Knox Shaw Fund will match any donations received. For more information on this, please contact the Alumni Officer (see below).
Finally, Members of the Alumni Mailing List (click here to join) will receive a termly update about how the Boat Club is faring, as well as information about alumni events and the all important Alumni Dinner. If you wish to be added to the mailing list, please contact the Alumni Officer at email@example.com.
